Reach out to clients for the holidays

blog

After reading the blog title, you may be thinking “A post about the holidays already? It’s still October!” It seems the holiday season creeps up earlier and earlier. Especially in recent years, there seems to be only a very fine line between Halloween and Christmas. Retailers advertise “Holiday” and “Christmas” specials long before the season actually starts. People are heading out to shop while their Thanksgiving turkey is still warm. ‘Black Friday’ is slowly becoming ‘Black Thursday Evening’. There’s a good reason for it.

It works!

People have busy schedules, large families, and even bigger shopping lists. An early shopping season gives them more time to plan, shop around, and find the perfect gifts. Often, people are shopping for themselves too. Let’s face it. People love a good deal! We, in the limo industry, should follow the lead of large retailors and recognize the effectiveness of early marketing. The holiday season is a busy time of year for everyone, including you and your clients. Remind your clients that you are there for them. You want your company to be on their mind when they are making travel arrangements for family members or themselves.

So how can you reach out to your clients during this busy season? Email newsletters are a great way to reach clients. Showcase your services but also provide helpful information like popular hotels or area attractions for out of town guests. Explain how using your services can ease some of their stress during this time. As the holidays get closer, a greeting card in the mail will also go a long way in making an impression on clients. Be mindful of when you send any physical mail and account for any shipping delays. You don’t want to send it too early as to be forgotten. On the other hand, if you send it too close to the holidays, you may be too late. It’s also a great time to offer specials to entice new clients.

With a little extra effort and planning, you can appeal to prospective clients at a time when they are more open to using your services. So don’t be afraid of the holidays. Embrace it as a time to grow your business and spread joy and cheer among your clients.
